5.0 out of 5 stars Great pair of basketball shoes., July 21, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
I play a lot of basketball and my local gym, and I'm always on the lookout for a great pair of basketball shoes. I've always really liked the Adidas brand of shoes, so I tend to stick with them, and I'm glad I did. While I liked my last pair just fine, these are quickly becoming my favorite.

For one, the looks of this shoe are just stunning. The red lines on the shoe are really vibrant, the white is very bright, and the glossy black is great for hiding smudges on the toes. But, the thing I really love is the fit. In the past I've had to really fight to get my basketball shoes to fit the way I need them to. I wear a heavy ankle brace on my right ankle, so it's difficult finding shoes that will fit one un-braced ankle tightly enough, but still be flexible enough to squeeze a heavy brace into the other one. No problem with these. The inside of the shoe is soft and comfortable, and plenty tight on my un-braced left ankle. The right braced ankle fits nice and snug in the other... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Solid Court Shoes, September 1, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
Bought these last winter because my ultimate frisbee team practices on indoor basketball courts during the snowy months. Fit very well and provided good support for my ankles and good grip, which was especially helpful given that ultimate on hardwood floors can definitely increase the likelihood of twisted ankles. Plus, they're pretty affordable and look pretty sick as long as you keep them clean.

These are some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. The look awesome and wear well. I already am ordering another pair. I have always liked Adidas shoes and these are some of their best. The scuffs dont show much and they look new for a long time.

4.0 out of 5 stars The cushioned Samba, July 8, 2010
I'm a big fan of Adidas Sambas, both for serious sports and casual wear. Despite the lack of cushioning in the Classics, I can wear them for hours on hard courts and turf without any problem. I also own Samba Vulcs, which are equally comfortable to me.

I was intrigued by these Samba Milleniums, which I have never seen in a retail store. When I received them, I was impressed by how good they look. The lines are not as clean as the Samba Classics, but so much better than most modern trainers which look like spaceships on your feet. When I put them on, I was also impressed how comfortable they felt. The toe box is larger than the Classics. I usually have the wear the Classics for a week for the toe box to stretch out enough to be comfortable, but I didn't have that issue with the Milleniums. There is also just the right amount of padding in the heel - enough to add comfort, but not so much that you can't feel the ball.

The reason I'm deducting 1 star from perfect is... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Shoe, February 12, 2007

This will be the third pair of Samba Millenium shoes I have purchased. The shoe makes a great casual shoe and is comfortable for indoor soccer as well. The sole wears a little quickly, but as long as it isn't used on abrasive surfaces, it is great. They take a little while to wear in, but once broken in are some of the most comfortable shoes I own. I have to get a size large or they are too small, however.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great shoes but takes time to break in., March 7, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
I'm a casual shoe guy. I don't play indoor soccer or use these shoes for anything but casual everyday wear. I love the samba shoes and have been through several different types and styles over many years. This style of Sambas are not my favorite (favorites being the Top Salas from around 2000), but they are still very nice and *comfortable.

*Lets talk about comfort though. I have had this issue only with one other style of Sambas (the Classic) and that is regarding the time it takes to break these in so I can actually bare walking. Even though these shoes fit great now and are probably my most comfortable pair and shoe of choice most days, it took about a month of going through some painful heels and a few blisters to get to this point.

I know there are ways to "work" your shoes out and break them in, but no matter what I did they were still giving me issues for a long time. I have only bought a few pairs of shoes that needed special treatment to break them... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Great shoes., August 8, 2011

I have been an adidas man my whole life. So when I saw these shoes, I had to have them. I have had other water shoes in the past. Most of them are either, heavy, ugly or allow small rocks to get in through the sides.
I know that these shoes are mainly for boating activities. However, I bought them for a trip to Havasupi (grand canyon) to use for hiking in and around the falls.
These shoes responded beautifully. I hiked on land, over rocks and in water for 4 days. and they were comfortable and supportive. I did over 7 miles a day in them and they still look brand new.
I'm sure that there are more rugged or supportive water shoes for this type of activity. But none of them are as cool looking for sure.

I highly recommend these shoes. Especially if you are just looking for some for boating or rafting.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth the price!, October 13, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
I'm an avid river rafter and Sambas wearer. I was shopping for a solid water shoe after every flip flop, sandle and aqua sock (even those fancy brands)had either flat out failed, or failed to impress me. I came across these on an random internet search and HAD to have them, not only do they have the stylish Adidas look (I have been wearing Sambas, and only Sambas for years now so of course I ordered mine in black and white) but the sole design looked brilliant! Usually a good old tennis shoe works the best for walking on wet and rocky terrain, but get soggy and heavy making swimming difficult, and forget about ever wearing them again. These boat shoes are the PERFECT answer! I get lots of complements on them cause they look cool, but best of all I can charge rocky river bottoms, sand and muck! I have snorkeled in them and they are great for roaming the reef too. They aren't too heavy, or clumsy for swimming in, and no mater what my water adventure I can stroll ashore and hit the road,... 4.0 out of 5 stars Great Water Shoes, August 22, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
My parents-in-law have a cottage on a small lake in SW Michigan. It has a mixture of sand, mud, and stones. Previous water shoes that I have bought were problematic. The biggest problem was that the lining would come out because it was glued down. So, I was looking for a quality water shoe that would last for awhile. I wear Adidas shoes and know the quality and longevity of them so when I stumbled across these shoes, I knew there wouldn't be a problem. These shoes are well constructed. There is no liner that can detached. Everything is stitched and solid. I was more impressed with the comfort and drainage that these shoes provided. I can wear these shoes casually inside or outside with great comfort. And, when you come out of water, the water drains out of them almost immediately! The only drawback was the price. It was a little steep compared to other water shoes. But, like I said, I would not trade these for others...
